Anantnag: Soldiers offer sweets on Eid, CRPF jawan loses fingers in clashes with stone-pelters

Kashmir today witnessed violent stand-off between security forces and civilians in several parts of the Valley
Around five security personnel and 20 civilians have suffered injuries in the stone-pelting incidents.

Clashes erupted in Anantnag after protesters took on security forces in Janglat Mandi area immediately after Eid prayers.
Similar street agitation broke out in Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama towns in south Kashmir. Similar clashes were reported from north Kashmir's Sopore and Pattan towns too.
Heavy stone pelting was also seen in Pulawama while pellet guns were used in Sopore.

 Meanwhile, Indian Army soldiers celebrated and offered sweets to Anantnag residents while stationed on duty.
Eid prayers elsewhere in the Valley ended peacefully
