3 Hindu Yuva Vahini activists arrested on gang rape and assault charges
Three Hindu Yuva Vahini (HYV) activists were arrested on Tuesday on charges of gangrape and assaulting a police officer
Bareilly: Three Hindu Yuva Vahini (HYV) activists were arrested on Tuesday on charges of gangrape and assaulting a police officer.
Superintendent of Police, Rohit Singh Sajwan said
that an altercation took place between a certain Deepak and Avinash over
the playing of loud music in Ganeshnagar locality.
Avinash called up his HYV friends and barged into Deepak's house, following which the group allegedly misbehaved with the women.
Deepak, who reached the house with his brother
Gaurav, then allegedly proceeded to beat up Avinash and handed him over
to the police.
When the news spread, HYV regional President
Jitendra Sharma and city unit President Pankaj and a number of other HYV
activists reached the police station to protest the arrest.
